"Friendship is unnecessary, like philosophy, art... It has no survival value; rather it is one of those things
that give value to survival" -C S Lewis
A few of my thoughts about friendship.
I think we shouldn't judge friends. I Judge while I choose friends but not after that.I never advice them, or guide them.It feels quite stupid and funny when I try to do it. There are so many other places to get advice and guidance from,So at best , friends could point out each others mistakes and make confessions :)
It's like this..
One day you wake up, feel like a looser and realize that you want to see a part of your past and you call a friend whom you havent' called in years. You call him/her and say you are coming over to their place and hang up.
You go to your friend's place , talk about something thats making you feel like a looser and your friend looks in your eyes as if he/she is going to give you some insight into what's happening and make things better. But on the contrary your friend bursts into a mocking laughter. Without exchanging a word, you get to a point where you realize that you feel like a looser because you have been taking yourself too seriously, unlike in the past when you have been doing things like a looser and felt great about it and sometimes you did win. Then You burst into hysterical laughter too. Then you and your friend watch a movie, talk about everything else in the world except why there's no meeting for so many years. Everything else, except the pleasantries that you normally exchange to make people feel good. And at the end, somehow, you feel something has been dusted off you, and you are everything except the person you have been a few days back. You feel great,or atleast you think you feel great. You punch your friend in the belly and he also punches you , may be on your face, or pulls your hair.. You say good bye and both of you exchange smiles and you go back to your place.
Happy Friendship day [:)]
